Live Project Update • January 2026 • New Canaan, CT (Fairfield County)
We’re currently completing a full concrete pool removal and fill-in in New Canaan, Connecticut. This is an in-progress update showing the property before demolition and during demolition. This project is part of our Fairfield County Pool Removal service area — we’ll keep updating this page as the job moves into haul-out, fill, compaction, and final grade.
Photo Updates (Before + In Progress)
These “before” photos show the property and the pool area prior to demolition. This job includes heavy concrete removal, hardscape demo, and a full restoration plan — not a quick cover-up.
Below are on-site photos from this ongoing New Canaan pool removal. You’ll see the pre-demo condition, demolition progress, and concrete staged for haul-out.
These new photos show ongoing demolition progress around the pool area as the site is prepared for debris haul-out and the fill phase.
Staging debris in organized piles keeps loading efficient, protects access routes, and helps the job move cleanly into the fill and grading phase.
Scope of Work on This New Canaan Pool Removal
This is a complete pool removal (not a partial abandonment). We’re removing the pool structure and surrounding hardscape so the homeowner gets back clean, usable yard space.
- Full removal of the concrete inground pool
- Removal of all concrete from the pool structure
- Demolition and removal of the concrete patio/decking
- Removal of the pool fence
- Removal of the stone wall
- Haul-out of broken concrete and stone debris
- Fill-in, compaction, and final grading (next phase)
What We’re Doing Right Now (January 2026)
-
Site setup + safety planning
We prep access routes, staging areas, and safe working zones so demolition and loading can move efficiently. -
Hardscape demolition
We’re breaking up hardscape around the pool area. This phase often produces a large amount of debris, so staging matters. -
Stone wall removal / access cleanup
Removing stone features opens up access for equipment and makes the haul-out and final grading cleaner. -
Pool fence removal (ongoing)
Fence sections/posts are removed so you’re not left with footings or unusable remnants once the pool is gone. -
Concrete debris staging (ongoing)
Broken concrete is staged in organized piles before loading and hauling — this keeps the site safer and helps trucking move faster.
Next Steps (Coming Up)
1) Load + Haul Out Concrete & Stone
Next, we load out and haul away the staged concrete and stone generated during demolition. This clears the site for the fill-in phase and final shaping.
2) Finish Removing Pool Structure
We continue removing remaining pool structure so the pool is fully eliminated (full removal).
3) Fill + Compact
The pool area is filled in lifts (layers) with appropriate material and compacted to reduce settling.
4) Final Grade
We grade the area so water drains properly and the yard is ready for topsoil/seed/sod and landscaping.
We Work Year-Round (Weather Dependent)
Yes — we can remove pools in Connecticut during winter months when conditions allow. Scheduling is weather dependent, and we won’t force progress if it risks tearing up the property or creating a muddy mess.
Winter conditions that can affect scheduling
- Frozen ground
- Heavy rain / saturated soil
- Snow and ice (unsafe access)
- Tight access or sensitive landscaping that needs extra protection
